Is Filter Adapter Nut Snap Ring of Derale Dual Mount Oil Filter Engineered to Last a Long Time
Question:
Hello.. How secure is this application, will the snap ring hold the nut in place through years of thermal cycles or will it crack...? Im curious as to the multiple application design, if that could also be a weak point.. Thanks

The Derale Dual Mount Oil Filter Relocation Kit # D15749 that you referenced is not known for developing issues over time and was designed to last. If you installed this on your vehicle the likely hood it would fail due to a snap ring issue over time due to thermal cycles like you mentioned or anything else is very low. It was engineered to handle the weight of two oil filters easily as well.
