We've spoken with Furrion about your same issue with another customer and they informed us that the 88 error code on your Furrion fireplace means the blower fan is overheating. You want to make sure the inlet and outlets of the fireplace are free of install debris and allowed proper air flow. The outlet is the wire mesh on the front of the fireplace and the outlet is the vent on the top of the fireplace.

Once you have checked the inlets and outlets and made any adjustments, you can unplug the fireplace for 15-20 minutes to reset the circuit board. Our tech at Furrion mentioned sometimes simply shutting off the fireplace does not allow it to cool down properly.

It may also overheat the fan if the fireplace is used in 40 degree or below temperatures since it will be running all the time. The fan is not designed to take the place of a furnace, it's more of a supplemental heat source.

Fireplace keep beeping won’t turn on or stop beeping never even been turned on. Battery is fine in remote. Why brand new camper.

It sounds like there could be an internal issue on the Fireplace. Since it's a brand new camper I have to imagine it's still under warranty. My best advice is to reach out to the trailer dealer and they should be able to help with this.

@Mona I have a different model, but Dust will cause the fans to stop or coils to burn and trigger the auto-shut-off. It is usually this causing the issue. Solution: Get a really good leaf blower (I love my Rigid jobsite blower) and blow the crap out of it in front and from the air intake behind. Then Swiffer duster it and blow it again. This usually does the trick. Probably good to do once a year.

When an electric fireplace is beeping, this is a sign that there is a problem. Most often remedy is replacing the batteries in the remote with fresh batteries. If this does not resolve the problem make sure the air is flowing in the bottom grate and out the top grate. If not the unit will over heat and stop working. I would also try unplugging the unit for 15 minutes to give the circuit board time to drain and reset. Finally, try a different remote. Since this is a new trailer you could always contact your dealer for a warranty repair. I hope this is helpful.

It shouldn't need to sit for long - maybe thirty minutes or so? Just enough to cool everything down before starting back up again.

@EloyV Are your inlet and outlets blocked when the fireplace is installed? I'm not sure why it would still be showing the 88 after you let it cool down but I wonder if those are blocked if that would be contributing towards this?
