Correct Replacement for Ttian 225S Disc Brake Calipers

Question:

My old 225S caliper mounts onto a caliper bracket that has a 5 gap between the mounting bolt centers and is attached to the axle with four bolts that surround the spindle on the axle flange part #T4840900. Does the universal replacement caliper require a different bracket, or does it mount directly onto the axle flange which is 2 7/8 between bolt centers?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Correct, the Replacement Universal Caliper part # K71-773-01 for driver side and part # K71-773-02 for passenger side have a 2-7/8" spacing between the two caliper mounting bracket bolts therefore will attach directly to the brake mounting flange on the axle so the flange you have now with 5" bolt centers will be discarded.
