Brake Controller Recommendation for 40 Foot Diesel Pusher Towing 10k Trailer

Towing with a 40 diesel pusher with a cat 350 and Allison trans.. do I need a weight distribution hitch and a brake controller??

A brake controller would be a great idea (also legally required) for your 40 foot diesel pusher towing a 10,000 lb trailer but you aren't going to need a weight distribution system for a tow vehicle that heavy duty.

You didn't mention what type of brakes the trailer has but I would assume they are electric. For a brake controller the best option is the P3 part # 90195 which has the most advanced inertia sensor which allows the controller to sense how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes and apply the trailer brakes with the same intensity.

This controller also is one of few that uses a display screen that has full words to easily understand what the controller is doing and also if there any errors the controller clearly shows the problem instead of requiring you to decipher any codes.
