Recommendations for Installing a P2 Brake Controller in a 2003 Jeep Liberty and a 2012 Liberty
Question:
Jeep cant tell me so I thought you may... will this adapter work for my vehicle?? I currently have a P2 installed in my 03 Liberty and it works great. I just didnt want to uninstall and re-install it in my new Jeep. A adapter would be really nice. Thanks you

On your 2012 Jeep Liberty there is not a port that a # TK93VR would install into. You could get a Replacement Brake Control Plug # 20127 and then hardwire the four wires to your Liberty. Once you do so you could simply unplug your P2 by the plug at the rear of the controller and then plug it back in in your other vehicle and it would be ready to go.
The four wires on the back of the brake controller are:
White: Ground, attached to the vehicles negative battery terminal.
Black: 12v power lead, attached to the positive battery terminal with a 20 amp circuit breaker. For this I would recommend Wiring Kit # 5506.
Blue: Electric brakes, attached to the blue electric brake wire on the 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle.
Red: Stoplight switch, normally located directly off the vehicle's brake pedal. Attach to the wire on the switch that only has a signal when the brake pedal is pressed.
If you do not have a factory 7-way on your vehicle you will need to get a Brake Controller Installation Kit # ETBC7. This comes everything you would need. I attached installation instructions for you to check out.
