If just the right side turn/brake lights on working on your trailer then the first thing I recommend doing is testing the 4-Way on your tow vehicle with a circuit tester like # PTW2979. Test the right side brake/turn pin (end pin opposite ground male terminal - green wire) with that light function activated on the tow vehicle.
This is a simple way to quickly narrow down where the issue is. If you do get power at that pin then you know the problem is on the trailer. If you don't get power then the issue is somewhere on the tow vehicle.
If you did get power with the circuit tester then head over to the trailer, first inspecting its 4-Way for any debris or corrosion built up in/around the pins that needs to be cleaned out. Check for any frayed or damaged portion of wire coming from the back of the connector. You may try to trace the right turn/brake circuit wire as far as you can back towards the tail lights to check for any damaged portions. Lastly make sure the light assembly itself is properly grounded do a clean, bare metal surface. Also verify that the light is in good working order and it's not just a bad bulb/assembly.
If you did not get power when testing the tow vehicle's 4-Way then check your vehicle's owner's manual for any towing related fuse locations. Make sure they are present and in good condition. If it is an aftermarket trailer harness make sure all the connections are secure and that the ground wire is again attached to a clean, bare metal surface.
If you still aren't able to find and resolve the issue please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
