Will the Curt Class III Hitch for the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Fit with Full Size Spare Tire
Question:
Does this hitch fit with the full size spare?
asked by: Jay
Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt Class III Hitch, part # 13407, will fit your 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac without removing the factory size spare tire. Spare tires larger than the factory size are not tested with trailer hitches so if your spare is larger than OEM it could prove to be a problem. I have included a link to the installation instructions on the Curt hitch for you to review.
I also attached a photo of a similar hitch installed on a Sport Trac with OEM full size spare. We do not have a photo of the Curt hitch on a Sport Trac yet.
