How Does Monitor of Roadmaster InivisiBrake Wire Up

Question:

My question was referring to the red power wire from the Invisi-Brake (page 2 of instructions for RM8700) that gets connected to a battery/power source. The power source I am referring to is the blue wire from the P2 (see attached). Yes, the included monitor will be installed.

On the motorhome side of the InvisiBrake install part # RM-8700 you would not want to use any of the wiring of your P2 brake controller part # 90885. The LED display of the monitor gets grounded and then actually draws power from the brake switch circuit of the toad vehicle like what you see in the attached wiring diagram.

Page two of the install instructions for the Invisibrake is the wiring diagram for the vehicle being flat towed not the vehicle doing the towing like you asked about. The blue wire of a brake controller would not be a power source you want to use for anything aside from trailer brakes. You can trace the black wire of the controller to the battery and use it as a way to get to it but you do have to use a separate power source.
