Will the Reese Universal Base Rails Installation Kit RP30035-309 Fit a Short Bed 2009 Toyota Tundra

Question:

Can i install this kit in my crewmax short 5.7 feet bed. I will be using it to pull a car hauler trailer with the gooseneck plate mounted to the brackets. The front of the trailer is long and narrow so i dont think i need a sidewinder hitch. I had this gooseneck plate in my 6 feet bed in my older 2005 tundra and worked well Thanks

Yes, the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit part # RP30035-309 will fit your 2009 Toyota Tundra and it can be used with a gooseneck plate to haul your car hauler trailer. If you do run into turning clearance issues we have an offset gooseneck plate, the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate for 5th Wheel Rails part # 16055 which moves the connection point away from the cab for more clearance.

Please note, the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit requires drilling into the frame which is okay but if you don't want to do this we have the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Toyota Tundra part # C16468-204 which does not require drilling into the frame and it will work with the gooseneck plate you already have or the one above.
