Can Load Bar Spacing on Malone MicroSport Trailer Be Adjusted for Smaller Bike Rack
Question:
When I assembled the trailer the instructions stated to space the load bars at 48”, which I did. However my bike trays are not that long. Can I move the load bars closer together to allow me to mount my Yakima bike fork trays?

The load bars on the Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G can be adjusted just a bit to create a spread as small as 44 inches. If this pushes the spread into a compatible dimension for your bike rack then you're good to go.
If your carrier is still too short then your only option to use a bike rack with the trailer will be to replace your rack with a new model that features a longer profile. For this the Malone Pilot TC ST Bike Rack # MPG2100 will work perfectly. This 65" long carrier is designed specifically for this type of application and it will hold your bike by the wheels without any frame contact. Locks are also included to help deter theft.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.
