Installing Curt Brake Controller on 1994 Ford F-150 with Factory 4-Way Connector
Question:
In article by Tom L Location of Brake Controller Install Connector on 1994 Ford F250 it says The blue and the black wire would be extended with lengths of 10 gauge wire and would connect with the blue and the orange tow package wires that end on the frame rail as shown in the photos in the help article Ive linked you to.inch I cant find a link as described. I have an F150 that seems to have been setup for towing but no 7-pole trailer connector. I can find the under dash connector for my adapter C51322 but I cant find the blue and orange tow package wires that are supposed to be somewhere on the frame rail.

It sounds like your 1994 Ford F-150 has the factory 4-Way connector. If this is the case then to install your Curt brake controller like the TriFlex # C24VV using the adapter plug # C51322 you mentioned, you just have to add the 7-Way Adapter Harness # 37185.
The factory wires to which the pigtail wires from the harness connect should indeed be located somewhere along the frame rail, most likely on the driver's side. The exact location can vary so the best route is to simply start back at the factory 4-Way on the truck and start following the wires from the back of the connector as they travel up towards the cab. You should find the factory wires before you get past the rear wheels but if you don't try to keep following them until you do.
You will specifically be looking for the factory blue and orange wires like you mentioned. I have attached the specific article you referred to below that goes into a bit more detail on this process.
