How To Install a 7-Way Trailer Connector On a 2005 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Whats it going to take for me to add a fully functioning 7 blade trailer connector w/braking? I only see the kit for the 2019 model.

In order to install a 7-way trailer wiring harness on your 2005 Toyota Tacoma you are going to need to combine the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55513 with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7. The reason you must combine two harnesses is because they don't offer singular 7-way trailer wiring harness for your 2005 Toyota Tacoma like they do for the newer models. The wiring is not present on your 2005 model for a plug in 7-way.
That said, the above is still very easy to install as all you will be required to do is plug the two 4-way's into each other, ground the white wire, and then run the blue wire into the cab and attach it to a brake controller of your choice. I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 if you don't already have one.
I have attached install videos on this process to assist.
