Can Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Taller Than Max Height Settings for 2019 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have set the hitch to its max height, when backing in my driveway the back of the truck made contact with the underneath of the trailer causing slight cosmetic damage to top rail of my new truck. Is there anyway I can gain more height out of this hitch.

If you have the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30890 set to max height and you are still needing some extra clearance when backing into your driveway then you either need to adjust the height settings of your pin box, install a 5th wheel tailgate like part # VGM-14-4000 for your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500, raise the overall height of your trailer, or a combination of all 3 options. There is no way to make your M5 5th wheel hitch taller.
I honestly like the louvered tailgate option because you don't have to adjust anything on your trailer. If you like this option too then you might also be interested in the Tailgate Insert # VI-4000 and the Insert Kit # 4000-V. Both of which can be used to customize your tailgate.
