Adapter Recommendation for Carrying Bike Rack on Front of Forest River R-Pod 182
Question:
Hello, I have recently purchased a Forest River R Pod 182 G and would like to be able to haul my bikes with it. I already have a 1up 2-bike rack that I want to use but am wondering how to best haul the bikes on the trailer. It has a 1.25” receiver on the back of the trailer but after reading some horror stories about people attempting to use this receiver for a bike rack, I’m a little nervous about doing that even though those were older trailer models. This also would be somewhat inconvenient as we will be using the back of the trailer for the outdoor components it offers. I already have other things occupying the top of the cargo rack on my vehicle, so that space is out as well. Could you please provide me with some recommendations on how to carry my bikes on the R pod trailer?

The best option would be the bike rack bunk part # CC-275 which would mount to the frame channels of your Forest River R Pod 182 and give you a hitch opening up above the propane tanks and jack to carry your current bike rack.
I attached a picture that shows a similar setup installed on a camper as well as a review video for this adapter for you to check out as well.
