How Come Curt Offset Ball # C602 Is Taller than Standard Gooseneck Ball

Hello, How tall is this compared to the standard ball that comes with the hitch? I see in another question about the 1inch raised ball that it measures 9 1/2 inches, and that the Standard measures 8 3/4 inches. Is this raised to 9 1/2 inches like the 1inch raised ball due in part to the plate to create the offset? Thank you

Yes, the additional height of the Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch # C602 is due to the offset plate needing to be tall enough to fit over the top of the truck bed. The additional height is right right at 3/4 of an inch like you stated.
