Troubleshooting Check Brake Wiring Error Code on Brake Controller Still After Replacing Wiring
Question:
I have a 2018 Ram 5500 Cab and Chassis the brake controller says check trailer brake wiring. The truck works on 6 other trailers we have but not this one. Changed ALL of the wiring on this trailer. Trailer brakes work on the other trucks. Any ideas what it could be

What type of brakes does this trailer have? If drum did you happen to check the brake magnets in the hubs? It's very possible you have a bad magnet with exposed windings giving your brake controller circuit a short.
I attached a help article on how to troubleshoot this but it's probably best to pull the hubs off and inspect.
