Can a 2015 Honda Odyssey Be Used To Transport a Motorcycle
Question:
Hello, would you be able to recommend a Motorcycle hitch Carrier for my 2015 Odyssey? I do have 2inch class III hitch installed. My concerns are about the limitations of the van. Motorcycle weight is 320 Lb. Thank you.

The tongue weight capacity of your 2015 Honda Odyssey is rated for 350 lbs and that is the figure you will need to abide by even if a trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76025 is rated higher as the vehicle and trailer hitch are tested separately of one another.
If your motorcycle weighs 320 lbs then that leaves you with 30 lbs for a motorcycle carrier. The lightest motorcycle carrier we offer is the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier part # UF48-979033 which weighs 50 lbs. The battery on the motorcycle could then be removed to get you closer to the 350 lb limit.
Please note, you are really going to want to consider a set of suspension enhancements to order to help minimize the squat from the heavy motorcycle and for that I recommend the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs part # AL60815. The squat associated with the heavy motorcycle on the back can have a pretty dramatic effect on braking.
