Is Weight Distribution System Longer than Standard Ball Mount

How much longer is this than a standard hitch and ball? Does the ball extender our further than a standard hitch?

When compared to a standard ball mount weight distribution systems like the Equal-i-zer part # EQ37120ET do have the hitch balls out a bit further. The ball center will be about 11 inches from the hitch pin hole depending on the angle the head of the system is set at. A standard ball mount will have this distance between 6 and 9 inches typically.
