Can I Use Lube Plate When Towing With Reese Sidewinder And B&W Companion
Question:
Id love to reduce the wear on my BandW Companion, but I have a Reese revolution king pin with wedge. Any Ideas? Lube Plate for Reese Revolution with wedge?

Expert Reply:
Reese recommends not to use a lube plate because the Sidewinder king pin is not turning in the hitch head because the pivot point is moved back therefore you don't really need a lube plate. I recommend that you just grease the wedge around the kingpin and the skid plate with lithium grease. You also want to make sure to use automotive type chassis grease on the coupler plate of the B&W companion part # BWRVK3500 to prevent wear.
