How to Adjust 12" x 2" Drum Brakes

Expert Reply:
To initially adjust 12" x 2" brakes like part # AKEBRK-7-SA you'll need a brake adjustment tool # W80630. At the back of the assembly there are 2 rubber plugs that you remove and then use the tool to adjust the strength. If you have self-adjusting brakes like the part mentioned above then you should have to do this at the start of the life of the brakes but if you have regular brakes without the self-adjusting feature then you'll have to do this every time the brakes start to lose their performance.
I have attached a video of this brake kit being installed that you can check out.
