E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle On 7,000 Lb Axle

Question:

Wanting to upgrade my trailer suspension. All my measurements meet the dexter k71-652-00 but the 6k rating. My axles are rated for 7k. So I looked at dexter k71-653-00 for axles rated to 8k. None of those measurements come close to fitting. Even though dexter k71-652-00 will fit what I have I am skeptical on purchasing cause of the 6k rating. Then if something breaks I used it outside it’s restriction and tough luck. Maybe you can guide me to a part # I may have overlooked that will fit my trailer rated at least 7k.

I contacted Dexter and the 6,000 lb rating on the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle part # K71-652-00 has more to do with the fit then the weight capacity of the part. The dimensions of the K71-652-00 are common for 6,000 lb axle which is why it is listed as such.

If your axle spacing is 33" and your existing equalizers match the dimensions of the Dexter equalizers, you will not have any issues using them on your 7,000 lb axle.
