How to Determine Best Trailer Tires for 2017 Keystone Hideout
Question:
i have a 2017 keystone hideout 5th wheel. i had trailer king 10 ply tires on it and had two blowouts on tires less that 18 month old on our last trip about 50 miles apart a few weeks ago. I had max pressure of 80 pounds in the tires. Im thinking going to a 12 ply trailer tire. My RV weight is 9420 dry weight and 1720 hitch weight. I know 12 ply is a over kill but i though it would help in hot weather. Good idea or bad idea? thank you,

The ply rating isn't altogether that important when it comes to ensuring the best tires. The most important things are to ensure you get a tire that is properly rated, which means ensuring that they exceed the GVWR of your 2017 Keystone Hideout, and to inflate the tire to the maximum cold psi. Doing this will give you the best performance, allowing the tire to wear slower.
There are a bunch of different models of '17 Keystone Hideout so I was unable to determine the size of your tires but from what I can gather they were 15 inches. For that I recommend the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # 724857519 or Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304 which are the two best performing tires in this size. I've added links to video reviews of both, or if you have a different tire size I can find the best option for you.
