Is There a Brake Controller Plug On a 2008 Jeep Commander

Question:

I am trying to install the Curt TriFlex Brake controller on my 2008 Jeep Commander. It does not seem to have a plug and play plug under the dash. I also cannot fine a coiled green or blue wire under the dash. The Jeep does have a 7-pin factory installed Plug. I can access the wires behind the 7-pin plug. Is the Dark Green wire on the back of the 7-pin plug the electric brake wire for the 2008 Jeep Commander? If so I can attach the blue wire from the brake controller to the Dark Green wire on the back of the 7-pin plug. Thank you I look forward to hearing from you.

I do have an option for you but there is not a plug and play brake controller wiring harness for your 2008 Jeep Commander so if you want to use the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV then you would need the Universal Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers part # C51515. In regards to the brake output wire, this would need to be ran from the back of the controller (blue wire) to the pin in the 5 o'clock position on the 7-way but I don't know what color wire that is on your Jeep.

Please note we do have an option for you that would not require any additional wiring, the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 which is what I recommend you use because it is super simple to use because you don't have to learn a new device and installs easily. It also works really well and can easily be transferred to other vehicles.
