Easy to Install 3,500 lb Trailer Axle Hub for Boat Trailer

Question:

Can these be used on a boat trailer with minimal issues? I purchased the AKIHUB-545-35-EZK awhile back and the hubs are leaking in water again already. I am looking to buy this pregrease kit and not have to deal with a shop changing them out again. Can this work on a boat trailer? Id assume the only difference is the casting is steel vs galvanized? im not to worried on a bit of rust. Thanks

The trailer hub part # AKIHUB-545-35-EZK that you referenced comes with a double lip seal part # 58846 which is the best style of seal for marine applications as the added pressure of the metal spring around the rubber seal helps prevent water from getting in. This hub would be a great choice for a marine application and would be super easy to install too since it's pre-greased and ready to go.
