Replacement Hitch Installation Hardware Kit for 2017 Kia Sportage
Question:
Hi there! I recently purchased a 2020 Sportage with a new hitch, but had the dealership take off the hitch on my old 2017 Sportage. I plan to install the 2017 hitch on a friends 2017 Sportage, but was not given back the bolts from the dealership. I understand that Ill need automotive-grade bolts, but what are the sizes and specs for these bolts and washers? Thank you!

Hitch installation hardware can be used only one time and that is probably why your old hardware was not returned to you. We do offer replacement hitch hardware kit # RHK for each hitch we sell and all of the aftermarket hitches for the 2017 Kia Sportage are shown on the linked page.
You'll note that we have both 1-1/4-inch (Class II) and 2-inch (Class III) hitches for the car and you'll want to confirm which type you have so you can select the appropriate hardware kit. Your old hitch should have a sticker on it with the class rating and a manufacturer part number such as # e72TR from etrailer, the item you referenced, which is a Class III hitch. Simply enter the hitch brand and part number in the fields on the RHK page and add it to your cart. We'll put together a complete kit with all of the exact parts needed to safely reinstall it.
I also linked a couple of helpful articles on hitch installation to assist you. The specific instructions for each hitch appear on their individual pages; the torque specs for that specific hitch and the tools needed to install it appear in the instructions.
