Recommended Curt MV Weight Distribution System for Trailer with 425 Pound Tongue Weight
Question:
Can I use this on 2018 21fb Starcraft Avalon it is about 4,500 lbs and tongue weight is about 425. Will product work on it, I have 2017 Silverado z71, I have no sway problems just leveling problems.

If the loaded tongue weight of your Starcraft Avalon is around 425 pounds I recommend the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17050, which features a tongue weight capacity of 500 to 600 pounds. When adding any cargo weight you have stored behind the rear axle of your Silverado this will match up really nicely to your setup's total tongue weight and will work great to level out both your truck and the trailer.
The only thing you will need to add is a compatible hitch ball like the 2 inch # 40038 or the 2-5/16 inch # C40030.
The Curt MV System # C17052 that you were looking at is a bit over-rated for your setup with its tongue weight capacity range of 800 to 1,000 pounds. This could lead to a rough and bumpy ride during travel because of the added tension which is why I recommend going with the lower rated model.
I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
