Can the Curt 2-To-3-Wire Tail Light Converter Be Installed On a Trailer

Is this unit waterproof? Can I install it on the trailer itself or does it need to be enclosed?

The Curt 2-To-3-Wire Tail Light Converter part # C56196 is not waterproof nor are any of our converter boxes. If you will be using this to combine separate tail lights on the trailer then yes, you can install this on the trailer but you will need to mount it in a location protected from the elements.
