Recommended Hitch Extender to Clear Truck Camper on 2016 Ram 2500
Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 2500 Long Bed with a Arctic Fox 990 camper. I want to be able to tow my 4500 lb boat with the camper in the bed. Do I need the hitch extender that has 2 tubes? I have the factory installed hitch, and am not sure what the requirements are when it comes to a single tube vs dual tubes. Also, if I need to add the second hitch, do I need different rear tie down brackets?

The dual tube TorkLift extenders that you mentioned do offer a longer extension but they are designed specifically for dual receiver trailer hitches from TorkLift like # TLC1204. Unfortunately there is not one currently available for your 2016 Ram 2500 so your only option will be with a standard single tube extender.
The longest standard extender we have available is an 18 inch long unit like the Curt # C45796. This inserts into a 2 inch receiver like what you already have on your truck and measures 18 inches from center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch pin hole. If this doesn't quite clear the Arctic Fox Camper you could pair it with a longer ball mount like the Curt # C45270 that will give you another 13 inches.
I have attached a link that will take you directly to our selection of longer ball mounts that you can look through as well.
