The Draw-Tite Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 75338, and the Curt Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 13251, for your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee are similar hitches. The installation is the same on both of them. I am including links to the instructions on both of the hitches and videos of both of the hitches being installed on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The main difference between the two hitches is the # 75338 will have a higher gross trailer weight capacity (GTW) and maximum tongue weight capacity (TW) when used with a weight distribution system.

The # 75338 hitch has a GTW of 7,500 lbs and maximum TW of 750 lbs when used with weight distribution, compared to the # 13251 hitch which has a GTW of 5,500 lbs and maximum TW of 550 lbs with weight distribution.

If not using weight distribution, both of the hitches have a GTW of 5,000 lbs and a TW capacity of 500 lbs.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit, part # 989900. It includes 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use part # 118425.
