Are Running Lights on Trailer Wiring Supposed to be On All the Time  

Question:

I have L/R blinkers. I have flashers. I have stop lights. what I dont have is lights on when traveling. They only come on directionally, hazard and applying brakes otherwise they dont light up??????

Sounds like you might be missing the running light circuit on your trailer wiring. The running light circuit is supposed to come on when you have either the headlights of the vehicle turned on or the running lights of the vehicle. If you haven't checked the lights with those lights turned on yet that very well could be the issue as they aren't supposed to be on all the time.

I attached a help article on trailer wiring troubleshooting for you to check out as well, but the other most likely scenario is that you have some corrosion or dirt on the running light pin of your trailer wiring. Some sandpaper applied to all of the pins of that trailer wiring would easily take care of that.
