Best Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ford F-350 With Prep Package
Question:
I'm recently retired and now me and the wife are going to spend some time traveling around. I worked long and hard to get to this point so I'd like to work as little as possible now! I Have a 2019 f-350 and got the puck system to make it easier to put in a hitch. I also got a short bed so i do know ill need a sliding hitch. basically i want to know what is hands-down the best and simplest hitch i should get.

Congrats on your retirement and the perfect 5th wheel hitch that has everything you are looking for is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide because you will never need to get out of your truck just to make a tight turn - it slides completely on its own. It also has a highly secure jaw system which ensures a complete, secure connection to your trailer's king pin as well as its cushioned head which will give you a smoother and quieter ride while towing. All of these things will allow you and your wife to have a much more enjoyable time travelling - you won't have any work to do with this hitch!
The Hijacker will fit directly in the puck system of your 2019 Ford F-350 and is available in two different towing capacities: 18,000 lbs at part # DM8550024 and 21,000 lbs at part # DM8550038.
Apart from its automatic sliding feature, the other part of the Hijacker that makes it stand out is the single-piece jaw because it wraps completely around your king pin. This jaw-to-king pin connection is reinforced via a 3/4" solid steel bar that locks into place once the jaw is closed, as you can see in the accompanying photo. The Hijacker even utilizes cushioned dampeners which minimize the noise often associated with fifth wheel towing, giving you a more comfortable ride in your F-350.
Both Hijackers, the 18,000 lb model # DM8550024 and 21,000 lb model # DM8550038 give you 14 inches of front-to-back travel, have three different height settings (15-1/2", 16-3/4", and 18-1/4") and are made in the USA.
I have added links to a couple video reviews of this hitch for you to check out as well.
