Question:

Hi I have a 1991 full size jimmy 4x4. Do you have a flat tow system for it? Also commonly referred to as a k5 blazer.

I did some research on your vehicle and found that the 1991 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a full-size sport-utility vehicle that was built by GM as their smallest full-size SUV. The K5 Blazer was replaced for 1995 by the Tahoe. For this vehicle we do have a base plate kit, Roadmaster # 108-1.

To complete a flat towing setup for this vehicle you'll also need a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit, a braking system. All of these items are covered in the linked article which I suggest you review.

For a tow bar you can use the Stowmaster # RM-501 which is the type that couples to a hitch ball and stores on the Blazer. For a low-cost and easy to use lighting option I suggest Optronics' Magnetic light kit # TL21RK. For safety cables use part # RM-643. For a braking system that won't require lots of modifications to the Blazer I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 which can easily be moved to another towed vehicle when the time comes. This and other braking systems are shown on the linked page.

I could not access an online owner's manual for your Blazer so be sure to first check your printed manual for any guidance about flat towing the vehicle.
