Can Lippert Electric Trailer Jack LC28531818 Be Mounted Facing Sideways
Question:
Can the motor head be rotated 90 degrees on the post to allow my tailgate to open?

On the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318 the motor assembly on the top of the jack cannot be rotated on the post portion but you certainly can change the orientation of the entire jack at the mounting point on the trailer. You may need to enlarge a mounting hole on your trailer frame to do this but the jack will still work fine even if you have it facing to the side instead of toward the front.
