Helpful Expert Reply:

The tongue weight of your trailer while loaded is likely around 700 - 1,000 lbs. Therefore, that is what the tongue jack must be rated for however it will be a good idea to go higher than this as that would then provide the quickest operation as well as last the longest. If you are not looking to break the bank, the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack part # JET-3755 is what I recommend as it has a 3,500 lb weight capacity that will be more than enough for your trailer. This jack also has a built-in level on top, manual crank handle if you ever lose power, and an easy one wire installation that you can run to the 12 volt pin on your 7-way unless you have a battery on the trailer.

The three hole mounting pattern that this jack uses is an industry standard so you don't need to worry about drilling into the frame.
