How Much Can a 2014 Honda Accord EX-L Tow
Question:
I have a 2014 Honda ExL V6 witth with a curt category 1 hitch and want to pull a trailer that is around 70” X 72” with a 700 lb garden tractor on it across town to get serviced. Is this ok?

The towing capacity for your 2014 Honda Accord EX-L is 1,000 lbs. Therefore, so long as the loaded weight of the trailer does not exceed this then you will be good to go. If the loaded weight of the trailer does exceed the above then we cannot recommend this but you will just need to use your best discretion.
If you only have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11681 now then you will still need a trailer wiring harness and ball mount/hitch ball in order to complete your towing setup. For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56173 if you have LED tail lights or part # 118596 if you don't have LED tail lights. For a ball mount/hitch ball, I recommend the Curt Drawbar part # C45521 with the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball part # A-80 or 2" Hitch Ball part # A-82
