The Multi-Plug, # 20137, is designed as a replacement if your 2005 Toyota Tundra came with a factory tow package that included the harness from the factory.
To add a 7-Way to a truck that did not have the factory tow package, you would first need to install a 4-Way, # C59496. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view. This converter will take the separate turn and brake signals on the truck and make them a combined signal for use with the trailer.
After you install the 4-Way, you will then need to use # ETBC7 to to add a 7-Way trailer connector. The ETBC7 also includes all the wiring you will need to install a brake controller. I have included a couple of links that should help with the ETBC7 installation.
If you want to add a brake controller to use with trailers that have electric brakes, I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have included installation details for it as well.
