Can Over-Under Conversion Kit be Used to Raise Height of Office Trailer

Question:

We have a 32’ office trailer that we replaced the hubs, brakes, tires and wheels. With the new wheels and tires there is only 3/4” of clearance from the underside of the trailer. Could we use an over/ under kit to remedy the situation?

You can definitely use an over-under conversion kit to give you more clearance as 3/4" is not nearly enough. If you have a 2-3/8" axle then you need part # K71-384-00 but if you have a 3" axle you need part # K71-385-00. What an over-under kit will do is raise the height of your trailer equivalent to the size of the axle plus the height of the leaf spring stack. This should get you much closer to the recommended 4" of clearance.
