I have personally never heard of any signal problems with any of the Furrion RV Observation Camera Systems like part # FOS05TASF but electrical appliances and overhead power lines can affect this so that is something to keep in mind. The camera signal strength should be around 3-4 bars but if it is not you may need to move the camera to see if this helps. That said, if you think it's the camera we do have the correct replacement for you which is the Furrion Vision S Rear Camera w/ Sharkfin Bracket part # FCN48TASF.

In regards to the vehicle's passing on the wrong side of the screen, you may just need to adjust your screen settings which can be found starting on page 20 of your owner's manual. The great thing about the system you have which has a 5" monitor is that you can add more cameras if you like, up to three. If you need a better view of the cars passing your trailer I highly recommend installing the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light Bracket part # FCE48TASL which also doubles as a clearance light for better visibility.

In regards to pairing, you need to ensure both the camera and monitor have power supplied during both the pairing and setting processes. The vehicle may also need to be running for this as well. If you still have issue then you might indeed new a new camera.
