Do Alternate Chain Lift Brackets C17003 Change Setup of Weight Distribution Hitch
Question:
When using part # C17003, does the 5 chain links rule still apply or is if different due to this bracket sitting lower on the frame?

Expert Reply:
Using a different chain hanger bracket like # C17003 or # C17005 (that bolt on) for a weight distribution system may mean that the number of chain links will change. In this case the number of links does not matter; what matters is that the system be set up so that it still gives you the appropriate tension on the spring bars to level your vehicle and trailer.
