I reached out to my tech contact at Curt and the Echo # C51180 wireless controller having this issue is likely due to some bleed over from your 7-way. I recommend starting there using sand paper or steel wool to clean each of the blades on both the vehicle side and trailer side of the connector. Sometimes corrosion or debris can cause one pin to bleed over to another function so cleaning it and using some dielectric grease like # 11755 to prevent that in the future should solve it.
If that doesn't solve your issue, then you will go into the settings on your app. There is a setting you can toggle on or off that is specifically for overriding hazard lights. This is the electronic fix if the manual fix doesn't solve the issue.
