Testing Trailer Wiring Configuration On Futura Low Loader Trailer
Question:
Hello, Do you ha e any customers using the Autowbrake on a Futura Low Loader Trailer? If so, would you know how they tapped into the needed wiring points ? The Futura has 2 unused plugsa 3 pin and a 2 pin and I believe the unused 2 pin plug contains the 12v power and ground leads needed. However, I can’t be sure about the rest of the leads. Any help with the Futura Trailer would be appreciated. I don’t see a traditional junction box.

We have not had any customers mention that they are using the Autowbrake part # 3430001 on a Futura low loader trailer but you can use a spare battery or the vehicle battery to find out the functions of your wiring. Since manufactures do not follow the same color codes when wiring I cannot know for sure the functions of your wiring without testing. Since you do not have a junction box the Autowbrake wiring just splices into your trailer's wiring.
Get a well charged spare batter or you can run a couple of jumper wires from the vehicle's battery and ground the trailer's ground to the negative terminal. Ground wires are usually white. Then test the wires on the positive side of the battery and note which function is activated. The wiring functions of the Autowbrake are as follows:
Blue - trailer brakes
Black - power wire
White - ground wire
Green/Yellow - brake/turn signal lights
