Did you use a tester on the blue wire for the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer # TK90160? If you didn't put a load on the blue wire then you will keep seeing that S.H. code. Ultimately you will continue to see the S.H. code until you track down the short and fix it. This can range from some corrosion on your tow vehicle or trailer connector to some wiring being damaged on the brake controller circuit.

Your best option is to check your connectors and clean them out if need be and then trace the wiring from the brake controller to your trailer brakes and check for any places where it is damaged. It would also be beneficial to check your ground connections as well to ensure they are secured to a clean, bare-metal surface.

Without checking all of these places you will likely see a similar S.H. code on any other brake controller that you would purchase as a replacement. Let me know if you are still experiencing this problem after performing the troubleshooting tips I gave you and I can help you troubleshoot further.
