Comparing the Tekonsha Prodigy and P2 Trailer Brake Controllers
Question:
I read that the P2 has a solid state accelerometer. Is there an advantage to this over the Prodigy? I think my controller work correctly, but wouldnt mind better forceful braking. Thanks!

Both the Prodigy, 90185, and the P2, # 90885, have an accelerometer in them that operate the same way. The P2 has some upgrades that allow it to be installed a full 360 degrees in the direction of travel. It can also be used with electric and electric over hydraulic braking systems.
If you are in need of one of these features, then upgrading would be the way to go. If your Prodigy is working well, I would stick with it. I have included a link to the installation details for the P2 for you.
