A switch you use to operate your golf cart racing lights needs to be rated for the power draw of all the connected lights and for the voltage of your cart electrical system. Deep cycle golf cart batteries can be 6-volt, 8-volt or 12-volt.
For example, Optronics ThinLine LED Racing Light Kit # LS-108 includes a 12V power switch to operate its LED lights.
We also offer 12V power switches like Pollak Heavy-Duty Toggle # PK34212 which has two terminals; the supply hot wire runs to one terminal and the output wire for the lights connects to the other. The battery supply ground will connect to the light ground.
If you can tell me more about your lights and cart power setup I may be able to give you specific information to help with your installation.
