Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2008 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Which transmission cooler do you recommend for a 2008 Toyota Highlander? Any way of adding a temp gauge with it?

Expert Reply:
The transmission cooler I recommend for your 2008 Toyota Highlander is the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets part # D13504 because it is fairly large so it should do an excellent job of providing your vehicle's transmission with reduced fluid temperatures, especially while towing. This kit in particular also comes with everything you need. The install process is pretty simple with basic tools which you can see in the sample install video.
In order to monitor the transmission fluid temperature you will also want to use the Derale Temperature Gauge Kit for Transmission or Engine Oil part # D13009 but please keep in mind you must drill into the transmission pan in order to install this.
