Based on my research, there is a bundle of wires above your spare tire. In this bundle the yellow wire is the left turn and brakes, dark green wire is the right turn and brakes, brown wire is for the running/taillights, and white is the ground. Often if the loom is cut back, two more wires will be found. The light blue wire provides a lead for a camper shell brake light (third center mount brake light only). The other, a light green wire, is for the reverse lights.I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to confirm the functions of your wires.
If this is correct, then you will still need wiring # 5506 to get your 12V power and brake controller output wiring. This will utilize thicker gauge wiring. The 40 amp circuit breaker will be used in-line on your 12V power and the 20 amp or 30 amp circuit breaker will be used for brake controller power. I've attached a wiring article to help with trailer connector function locations.
