Hitch Pin for Use on ATV
Question:
what diameter size hitch pin fits an ATV?
asked by: Andrew M
Expert Reply:
ATVs do not have a universal hitch pin size they will require, the size of the hitch pin is actually determined by the trailer hitch that fits.
If you are using something like the Curt ATV Ball Mount Adapter # C45006, for example, you would need the Pin and Clip For Class III, IV and V Trailer Hitch # PC3.
For the most part, if you have a 1-1/4 inch receiver you will used the Pin and Clip For Class I and II Trailer Hitch # PC2 which has a 1/2 inch diameter and if the receiver is 2 inches you will use the aforementioned Pin and Clip # PC3 which has a 5/8 inch diameter.
I have added links to video reviews of both for you to take a look at.
