Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch for 2010 Subaru Outback Work With Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Rack
Question:
We have a 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon and are interested in a Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Rack. Are the two compatible so when the rack is folded up without bikes it clears the rear hatch? Also concerned that the how-to videos are for new Outback Wagons. Is our older 2010 model going to make the Draw Tite Hitch more difficult to put on? Thank you.

You can absolutely use the Kuat Transfer 2-Bike Rack # KU74FR with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76227 on your 2010 Subaru Outback.
As you can see by the accompanying photos customers sent in of this hitch installed on a 2011 and 2012 Subaru Outback, the receiver portion of the hitch protrudes so there is no issue whatsoever with bumper clearance, allowing you to use the full capabilities of the Kuat Transfer bike rack.
The Transfer is one of my favorite racks because it combines the high quality and style that Kuat is known for but remains cost-effective. It is a wheel-mounted rack so there is no contact with the frames of your bikes and it does both tilt down and fold up with the use of a foot pedal.
As for your question about the video, the fact you have a 2010 Outback will not make the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76227 more difficult to install than on current models. The directions and process will be the same, we just happen to have videos on newer models of Outback but the process will be the same as in the linked instructions; you can also use the linked video of the hitch installation I attached to help you as well.
I have also added a link to a video review of the Kuat Transfer for you to take a look at.
