Can Brake Controller Install Right Next to Radio in 1999 Ford Expedition
Question:
Installing in a 1999 XLT Ford Expedition: If I install the brake controller below the radio, will that affect the controller? The next question. I have the adapter pigtail and I have the plug on my expedition. But looking at the instruction Manuel it says Ford added a wire to the stoplight switch on late model Trucks 1998 thru 2005, this wire goes directly to the ground causing a short and will destroy the unit. It says the wire is red with a green stripe. I see the red wire but I dont see the green stripe. Do I need to worry about the short if I have the plug? Thanks

You can install a brake controller right next to a vehicle radio and you won't have any issue with interference or anything else.
When you install the Primus # TK90160 you'd simply just plug in the install harness part # 3035-P which is a confirmed fit for your 1999 Ford Expedition. This harness has been tested as-is and works great on your vehicle and would not cause any issue.
