Brake Lite Relay Recommendation for 2013 Honda CR-V Installing Diode Flat Tow Wiring Kit
Question:
I have a 2013 Honda CRV that Im going to flat tow with a MH. I have a Brake Buddy II brake system to comply with law. This Brake system will cause the brake lights to come on without any additional wiring. Therefore, if I use the diode system to wire directional, it seems as though there will be an overriding issue? Can you tell me how to set this up so it will function without issues? Thanks,

We offer the Brake Lite Relay part # RM-88400 for this exact scenario. This kit is designed for situations like yours where the brake pedal would override the blinkers of a tow bar lighting setup to prevent this from happening. You would then be able to install a diode tow bar lighting kit in your 2013 Honda CR-V like the # RM-15267 and you'd be good.
I attached an install video of the Brake Lite relay in a 2014 Honda CR-V similar to yours for you to check out.
